This fake "rock" will look natural in a multitude of outdoor environments. It blends is with almost any "garden or lawn" unnoticed. With our exclusive copyrighted micro PIR motion activation system, there is reduced battery drain while on standby, and low if any false alarms.
As soon as "body heat" is detected, up to 30 feet away, full resolution D1 (720 X 480) video is recorded on the memory card stored in the DVR hidden inside. The SD card slot and video out jack are hidden in a weather resistant compartment inside the rock. Recording continues until 1 minute after motion ceases, then the unit automatically returns to standby mode to save the battery charge.
The rechargeable high capacity Li-ion battery offers up to 1 year of standby operation and up to 11 hours of actual recording per charge at the highest resolution, and 20 hrs at the lowest resolution. This time will vary based on the amount of motion occurring where you place this hidden outdoor camera.
Recordings can be played back to a TV directly from the unit, or the SD card can be removed and played on your Windows PC. This unit does come with a 4 GB SD card to get you started, which will let you record about 2 hrs of video. You may want to purchase a 16GB SD card for maximizing recording time.
The camera inside offer a 480 TV lines resolution. We recommend having some lighting for the camera to see clearly. Light equivalent to at least a 40 watt light bulb is recommended.
